Instagram App Icon

The holidays are upon us, and we wanted to get you something we knew you’d love. So today we’re delighted to announce the launch of one of our most requested features: sharing to Instagram! With the latest version of our award-winning Pagemodo mobile app, you can now share all your creative posts to everyone’s favorite visual platform.

Here’s how it works:

1. Share a great visual on social media (we suggest a Post Design!)
2. Go to your Post History tab on the far left in the Pagemodo App
3. Click the share icon (circled above)
4. Select ‘Copy to Instagram’ from the icons (you may need to click the ‘More’ icon the first time)
5. Edit and share on Instagram as usual!

If you find yourself asking, “Sarah, why can’t I just share directly to Instagram like I do to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn?” we hear you. Instagram’s API (the code that apps like Pagemodo use to post things to various 3rd party platforms) works differently than those other three social networks. At least for the foreseeable future, Instagram has chosen not to allow direct posting. With that in mind, we still wanted to provide the quickest, most seamless way for you to share your visual posts with your Instagram audience.

Also in this release: Notifications!

Another feature we are excited to launch with this release is empty-queue notifications. Now when your scheduled posts queue in the Pagemodo app is empty, we’ll send you a notification to let you know that it’s time to add some new posts to keep your followers engaged. We hope this new feature falls into the category of ‘things you didn’t even know you needed until you had them’ and you find that it really helps you keep your social media engine humming!

Our product teams love to hear your requests, and it helps us determine which features to bring to you next. If you have any helpful feedback about how Instagram and notifications are working for you, please share it with us by emailing app [at]

If you don’t yet have the Pagemodo app for iOS, you can get it in the app store. Happy holidays from all of us at Pagemodo.
