Real-Time Marketing. Timely. Relevant. Viral.
These are all the words we would love associated with our social media campaigns, right? But as small businesses and agencies, we know that resources available to be spontaneous and make them a reality are limited.
And that in order to come close to reaching these adjectives, it involves a little bit of planning.
So with help from Unmetric, we’ve decided to share some not-so-common holidays, which are still very popular, that can help you “plan” for some timely, relevant, and just plain fun campaigns.
Some of our favorites included:
Ask a Stupid Question Day – September 28th
National Dessert Day – October 14th
Go for a Ride Day – November 22nd
Humbug Day – December 21st
But don’t get overwhelmed! Fortunately, Pagemodo has some tools to make participating in these a lot easier: Post Designer for when you don’t have a large creative team to turnover a photo of your mascot with an award winning smile for October 3rd’s World Smile Day, and Contests for when your marketing team doesn’t have time to look up Facebook’s rules for your pasta recipe contest on October 25th’s World Pasta Day.
Go on, check out Unmetric’s SlideShare of Strange Holidays and tell us YOUR favorites in the comments:
