Today we are delighted to announce the latest edition of Pagemodo Post Designer! Since launching the initial beta version of this tool a few months back, we’ve been gathering feedback from our users in order to make sure the final release is exactly what they need. While we still have a few exciting items to add to the finished product, today’s beta update offers lots of new features and a whole new look for the design interface. But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s start with a brief recap:

What Is Post Designer?
Simply put, Post Designer is a better photo editor for social media. It was added to Pagemodo Posts in order to give our users even better engagement and promotion opportunities when posting on social media. Many people use Pagemodo to market small businesses, and we understand that these people often lack the time and budget to hire professional designers or purchase pricey design software. So we wanted to give them a tool that would allow them to quickly design and share great looking visual posts with their followers on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

We decided to add this visual posts tool because research consistently shows that photo posts on Facebook get higher engagement than the average post – up to 53% higher. While it’s still important to post things like status updates, links to great content, and holiday messages, no posting strategy is complete without visual content.

What’s New?
This release brings a number of enhancements. Let’s dive right in:

  • New look – our designers wanted to give users the best designing experience, so they re-imagined the interface with darker, more neutral colors so the tool fades away and you can focus on the design that you’re creating.
  • New themes– we took a look at our existing inventory of customizable themes and added dozens more in order to give our users as much variety as possible. We added some beautiful new designs, and also some more neutral starting points for users who really want to make their design from scratch.

  • Shapes and text – while many users prefer to work within the designs we’ve created, some of the more adventurous designers like to really get into the mix and create a custom look. For these users, we added lots of custom shapes and text area options.

  • Save and download – this is one feature we are very excited about. Marketing these days is multi-channel, and as a result, business owners are often posting promotions in many different places – their website, social media, emails, etc. In order to help them save time and maintain a consistently branded look, we added functionality to allow users to save, update, and download their creations for use outside of Pagemodo’s current posting options of Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

We’re excited to share these updates with you, and we hope you’ll enjoy them and find them useful for your business and your marketing. Once you’ve had a chance to work with Post Designer for yourself, please let us know what you think of the added features! Have a suggestion for our final release? Send an email to
