On September 26, 2011, Pagemodo debuted four new templates for creating custom tabs for your Facebook page: Corporate, Grid, Product, and Transparency.
Corporate is the perfect template for any business that wants their Facebook fan page to look both professional and modern:
This template offers a nice balance of imagery and text. Businesses can use it to explain their mission (“to help you…conserve energy and save money”) as well as what’s special about the company (“EnerTech is the lead company for…” “We value…”).
Plus, there’s room to include elements like key facts about the industry (see the sidebar on the left) and inspiring quotes (see the horizontal bar in the middle). As with all templates, you can use the buttons to send people to your website to “Learn More.”
The Grid template is extremely stylish, which makes it perfect for any arts-related organization:
This template is also great if you have a dramatic photo that would capture people’s attention and imagination. If so, this grid template will use that photo to make a custom tab that’s extremely eye-catching. There’s plenty of room for a headline, some messaging, contact information, and a link to your website at the bottom of the template. As one Pagemodo fan says:
If you sell products online—and want your sales to skyrocket—you need to add this Product tab to your Facebook page:
With spots for photos of nine products, this is a great way to highlight what your business has to offer. Below each picture, give your product a name, name its price, and include a strong call to action on the button (“Buy Now!”). The button’s link will take people to wherever it is that you sell the product (website, blog, etc.).
There’s also room at the bottom of the product template to explain what makes your products special.
If you run an interior design firm, or any other business where style is paramount, then this template is for you:
As you can see, one image dominates this template, but there’s also room for a headline and a paragraph of text in a beautiful semi-translucent box.
Despite the minimalistic look, there’s still plenty of marketing power in this template. With your company’s name at the top, a “like” box in the center-right, and contact info at the bottom, you’ll be sure see an increase in fans and customers.
- Set your tab as your page’s default landing tab (where new visitors land) to give it more prominence
- Rename your tab to describe its contents
- Add a like gate to your tab to get more fans
